Kansas Supreme Court Justice Larkin Walsh officially sworn in
November 21, 2025
Kansas’ newest Supreme Court Justice was formally sworn in Friday.
Acting Chief Justice Eric Rosen presided over the formal swearing-in ceremony for Justice Larkin Walsh in front of family, friends and dignitaries.
Walsh, the seventh woman to serve as a Kansas Supreme Court justice, was appointed by Gov. Laura Kelly earlier this year to replace former Justice Evelyn Wilson.
Wilson retired in July due to health reasons.
Walsh first affirmed her oath of office in September in an informal ceremony. Her background included working as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Carlos Murguia and former Kansas Supreme Court Justice Carol Beier.
